Sami repatriation ceremony in Sweden
Boxes made of birch bark, containing the skulls of 25 Sami people, are laid to rest in their original burial site in Lycksele, northern Sweden, 09 August 2019, in the biggest such repatriation ceremony ever carried out in Sweden. The skulls were originally dug up from the graves in the 1950s and taken to the Swedish History Museum in Stockholm for research. EPA/Henrik Montgomery SWEDEN OUT
